CIE prepares business valuations to support the strategic, transaction and regulatory requirements of its clients. These valuations assist the client to better comprehend and evaluate corporate value, future tax liabilities, business options and proposed transactions. The results of these valuations may be used for:

Strategic and succession planning Competitive analysis Board or other fiduciary review IRS requirements and tax planning Sale or recapitalization support

CIE also renders fairness opinions for private companies and ESOPs in both purchase, sale and investment transactions.

Formal business evaluations and accompanying reports are also conducted by CIE. These are typically provided to private and family businesses with complex ownership, family and personal issues that require an in depth review and assessment of factors not typically addressed in business valuations. Business evaluations will normally include in depth interviews with both management and interested family members.
