CIE advises clients on various strategic and succession issues. Engagements may be short-term, project oriented or on an ongoing basis and typically address both short term and long term company value and options.

Strategic Planning

CIE is a resource to its clients in their strategic planning efforts. This may include its involvement as either (a) a direct participant, reviewer or coordinator or (b) an outside advisor to the strategic planning process. CIE will support client needs by researching and reporting on various strategic issues, such as a competitive analysis, an industry review, a feasibility assessment, etc.

Succession Planning

CIE both facilitates and independently designs succession business plans for private and family companies. It has developed unique models and diagnostic tools that help owners and their families to address the "KEEP vs. SELL" question more confidently, to make the appropriate decision for the situation and to identify a flexible and defined solution path, supported by the right legal and financial tools, to implement the decision.

Board Participation

CIE believes that private and family businesses benefit from the professional and independent counsel of third parties on its Board of Directors/ Board of Advisors.
